Ray Sapko is an experienced musician specializing in rock and classical guitar.  Ray’s earliest memories of music were of his dad playing big band music albums.

A seasoned musician, Ray was one of the three founding members of the rock group, Tantrum.  The group recorded three original albums, “Tantrum”, “Rather Be Rockin’” and “Breaking Away.” 

He has toured the U.S. playing with artists like Ray Charles, Kansas, the Clash, Survivor, Edgar Winter and Rick Derringer. 

He does session work and performs weekly in venues around the city. 

Ray also uses his experience in performing to foster new talent, teaching and mentoring his guitar students.  

Ray received his Bachelors Degree in Guitar, studying at the American Conservatory of Music, Roosevelt University, Chicago; Sherwood Conservatory of Music at Columbia College, Chicago and the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. 

Ray teaches guitar and bass guitar.
